Dear members of the Commission. I am introducing you my diploma project on the theme “Emotive Lexemes in "Wuthering Heights" by Emily Bronte”.

Originality of artistic method of Emily Bronte showed itself to a full degree in her single prosaic work – novel a “Wuthering Heights”. Many researchers reached an impasse, trying to attribute a book to one of two basic artistic directions of ХІХ century – romanticism or “classic realism”. In our opinion, most acceptable are statements that there is a synthesis of these two methods in this novel, because realistic in the basis, a novel is enriched by romantic tradition. Unique realism that embarrassed critics arose out of such synthesis. This paper researches lexical and stylistic aspects of expressing emotions in “Wuthering Heights” by Emily Bronte. A language serves not only for a transmission of information but also for the expression of the inner world of a talker. Emotions are many-sided. Emotions in itself are not the language .............
